A Special Laguna Beach Family Session

There’s something incredibly meaningful about documenting a family’s journey over time, and the Evans family holds such a special place in my heart. Our most recent session took place along the stunning coastline of Laguna Beach, where golden light, soft waves, and genuine connection came together perfectly.

This wasn’t just another family session—it was a celebration of growth, love, and the newest chapter for a family I’ve had the honor of photographing for a long time now. Watching their story unfold in front of my lens has been nothing short of magical.

From Couple to Family of Five

My journey with Breonna and Alex began long before this session. I first captured them simply as a couple—full of love, laughter, and anticipation for the future. Since then, I’ve photographed their pregnancy announcement, their gender reveal, and now, this milestone: a family of five.

Being invited back into a family’s life time and time again is one of the greatest honors as a photographer. It means trust has been built, memories have been preserved, and moments have been cherished. With the Evans family, each session feels like catching up with old friends while documenting something deeply meaningful.

Welcoming Baby Ryleigh

This session was especially significant as it marked the arrival of their newest addition—sweet baby girl Ryleigh. Watching Breonna and Alex step into this new phase with such ease and love was truly beautiful.

Ryleigh was calm and content, nestled in her parents’ arms and surrounded by her siblings. The energy during the session was joyful yet relaxed, the kind that naturally happens when a family is simply enjoying being together. Did we have a newborn blow out mid photoshoot? Why yes we did! We laughed, and just went with the flow. Breonna and Alex were calm as ever, truly unbothered by the diaper chaos. My kinda vibes (and parenting haha).

Moments like these don’t need much direction. A gentle breeze, a glowing sunset, and a family soaking in their time together—that’s where the magic lives and THRIVES.

A Proud Girl Dad

Alex is officially a girl dad through and through, and it couldn’t be more evident. The way he interacts with his daughters is full of warmth, playfulness, and pride. From carrying little ones along the shoreline to sharing laughter during candid moments, his love shows in every frame. Did I mentioned the painted toes he arrived in from a recent daddy-daughter play day?

These are the kinds of details that make a session feel authentic. It’s not about perfect poses—it’s about real connection. And with this family, connection comes naturally.

A Tradition of California Sessions

Although the Evans family calls Las Vegas home, Southern California has become a meaningful backdrop for their memories. They often travel to the coast to vacation, and I’m always thrilled when they reach out to plan a session during their time here.

There’s something so special about families who intentionally carve out time to document their lives while traveling. It adds an extra layer of nostalgia—these photos don’t just represent a season of life, but also a place tied to joy, rest, and togetherness.

Each time they visit Southern California, we create something new while building on the story we’ve already told together.

Why Laguna Beach Is Perfect for Family Photos

Laguna Beach continues to be one of the most beautiful and versatile locations for family photography. From rocky coves to sandy stretches and glowing sunsets, it offers a dreamy setting that complements every kind of session.

For the Evans family, it was the perfect choice. The natural beauty of the beach allowed their connection to take center stage, while the soft evening light added a timeless, romantic feel to their images.

It’s easy to see why families return here year after year—not just for the scenery, but for the feeling it creates.

Capturing Moments That Matter

At its core, this session wasn’t just about photos—it was about preserving a season. The quiet snuggles, the laughter between siblings, the pride in a growing family—these are the moments that pass quickly but deserve to be remembered forever.

The Evans family reminds me why I love what I do. Being part of their journey—from a couple in love to a family of five—has been an incredible experience, and I’m so grateful for every session we’ve shared.

Looking Ahead

I already find myself looking forward to the next time they visit. With each passing year, their story continues to evolve, and I’m honored to document it along the way.

To the Evans family—thank you for trusting me, for returning time after time, and for allowing me to capture your most meaningful moments in your life. Baby Ryleigh is already so loved, and I can’t wait to see all the memories still to come.

Let’s make memories !
