Cozy Couple at cabin playing guitar

There’s just something about a cabin in the PNW woods that feels like pure magic—especially when you throw in a guitar, two western hats, and a couple wildly in love.

Recently, I had the coolest session with Nick and Ris, they were all set for a cozy couple shoot up in a rustic cabin tucked among the pines. Nick’s a musician—tattoos peeking from his sleeves, guitar slung over his shoulder—and Ris the perfect mix of soft and fierce, matching his energy in her own laid-back, edgy way.

They both showed up rocking western hats and cowboy boots, looking like they’d just stepped out of a modern country music video. Inside the cabin, the vibe was warm and intimate: wood walls, soft blankets, and golden afternoon light streaming through the windows. Absolute magic.

Nick sat down, started strumming his guitar, and suddenly the whole room felt like it belonged just to them. Ris curled up beside him, listening with that look that only people deeply in love can pull off—the kind that makes my job easy, not gonna lie.

We captured them dancing barefoot on the wooden floors outside, sharing quiet moments in the grass, and giggling like they were the only two people on earth. The music added such a raw, authentic layer to the session—it wasn’t just photos; it was their authentic story. During their session I learned that she had a “wild” tattoo on her palm. An ode to Nick’s Music. I couldn’t end the session without a detail shot of something so symbolic.

These two have an edge, but also a softness together that’s insanely photogenic. I’m obsessed with how the session turned out: western hats, cozy cabin vibes, and a soundtrack played live by the man himself.

a damn good time.

If you’re dreaming of a couple session that’s uniquely you, guitars and all—let’s make it happen.
